ROW WITH US
Central Connecticut Rowing (CCR) is a rowing club based in Middletown, Connecticut. The mission of CCR is to promote rowing and the growth of the rowing community within Middletown and throughout Connecticut.
We offer rowing programs on the beautiful Connecticut River originating from the Middletown John K. Smith Boathouse. The programs are administered through the Middletown Recreation & Community Services Department. We offer rowing programs for anyone aged 13 and up, from novice to experienced, recreational to competitive. Our program currently offers rowing in eight and four person rowing shells.
OUTDOOR ROWING FITNESS & CONDITIONING CLASSES
Tuesday and Thursday evenings
Come learn or improve your rowing technique and improve general fitness with outdoor classes by the river! Our rowing coach will help you build core, arm and leg muscle strength and work on rowing technique (on rowing machines) to set you up for rowing on the river when we start up again next year. Classes will involve stretching and strengthening exercises on a yoga mat and rowing machine work.
JOIN OUR TEAM
Our goal is to teach the beginner to row as well as improve and refine the experienced rower’s skills. Each session includes instruction from experienced coaches. We also offer the opportunity to train for fall regatta racing.
We are looking for experienced coxswains, and we can also train anyone that may be interested in this position.
